Cairngorm Mountain

Cairngorm Mountain is Scotland’s favourite mountain resort, offering exhilarating activities in every season. Famous for snowsports in winter, the resort offers lessons for beginners and access to Scotland’s most popular ski slopes.

From spring through to autumn there’s a wide range of activities on offer for all ages and abilities. Enjoy a ride on Scotland’s only mountain railway due to return in early 2025. Dine at the UK’s highest restaurant with panoramic views at almost 2,000 metres above sea level. Enjoy a range of outdoor activities including mountain biking trails, Scotland’s only gravity fuelled carting, tubing slides, adventure play or join a guided walk to experience the wild mountain landscape. There’s also cafés and shops on site selling unique and local gifts.

The Cairngorms are mountains with very special flora, fauna and geology that can be damaged easily. Due to the large numbers of people visiting the Ptarmigan Top Station, we operate a conservation plan to protect the fragile habitats, within and surrounding the ski area. There is also a wild mountain garden which is free to visit featuring local native plants and flowers, the UK’s highest phone box, a camera obscura and viewpoint.
